Tablelo is a restaurant management service run by HNintoTech, Katargam, Surat, India ("we"). This page explains what information the service holds and what we do with it.
Who is who
- Restaurants (our customers) decide what they enter: menu, orders, staff and guest details. For information about their guests, the restaurant is the controller and we are its processor.
- We are the controller for the information we hold about restaurant owners and for the Tablelo website.
What we hold
- Account details: restaurant name, owner name, email, phone, country and the login details of staff members (passwords are stored hashed, never in plain text).
- Restaurant data: menu, tables, orders, bills, tips, expenses and settings that the restaurant enters.
- Guest details a restaurant chooses to enter, such as a name or phone number on an order, or a number used to send a bill on WhatsApp.
- Demo requests sent from this website: name, phone or WhatsApp number, optional email and the message.
- Technical data: basic logs such as time of last sign-in and the type of device (for example the Android app).
Why we use it
- To run the service for the restaurant: show orders, print bills, build reports, send bills or order updates the restaurant asks for.
- To contact people who asked for a demo or a trial, and to support our customers.
- To keep the service secure and fix problems.
Who else sees it
- Hosting: the service runs on servers in India (Oracle Cloud, Mumbai).
- WhatsApp: if a restaurant switches on automatic WhatsApp messages, the message and the guest's number are sent through the WhatsApp Business service of Meta.
- We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for advertising.
How long we keep it
A restaurant's data is kept while its account is active. On request we delete or return it. Backups are kept for about 14 days and then removed.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your personal information, and to object to its use. If you are a guest of a restaurant, please ask the restaurant first, because it decides what it keeps. If you are in the EU, the UK or Ireland you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority (in Ireland, the Data Protection Commission).
